Cast Prepares for ‘You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown” March 22

Amber Decker and Ethan Chisholm

The curtain will go up March 22 in the auditorium for the musical “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown!”

The musical will be the first at David Prouty High School in about four years, and could provide a boost to the music programs at the school.

Mr. Fazio, Prouty’s music director, hopes the production will generate more interest in the school band, which has been competing in several competitions.

In the weeks leading up to the musical, some members of the cast said they felt excited about memorizing scripts and songs, while also making costumes and props, and building the background for the stage.

Mr. Lewis, an English teacher at Knox Trail Middle School, is directing the musical, helped by Mr. Fazio.

Not all the roles are filled yet. In an email to staff last week, Mr. Lewis is seeking volunteers to serve as “baseball fans” for two of the three performances.
